As title - g/f has a Puma that she does 25k+ a year on so looking for a decent service and to fix a few problems.

I usually use Ford specialist but cannot find any local (or recommended on Pumapeople forum).

Can anyone recommend a decent garage in the Area, pref Ford specialist - I'm Uni area based but work in Arborfield.

You could also try NVS. I've used them a few times and many of my work colleagues are using them now as well.

Interesting - the service quote is about what other garages are charging.

Reckon they are decent?

I often like to go for 'uprated' stuff instead of Ford parts - hence why I usually track down specialists who know about these things.

I've had a quote from True-Tec - £155 for the service but then £60 /hr labour - owch! I hope that is inc VAT!

CITROMECH - they are £200 for service but then £46/hr - or £54 inc VAT

Might pop by True-tec and see what they are like - would prefer to use a Ford guy if poss - was told to use particular oils etc for the Puma engine

Sorry for the delay in replying but I've not been near a pc for a few days. They use all of the oils as per the specs laid out by the manufacturer and they only ever use original parts for anything that needs to get replaced. Their main advantage is price on the spare parts because they do not take the pee and in addition to this, they come to you which can save a lot of time/hassle.

Could give Advanced Auto Tecnik in langley a try. Independant ford specialist.
Seem allright with work they have done on my Puma.
Try Pumapeople.com too , there is a list of friendly garages on there too.

Will give them a call tomorrow. Did you rate them?

Bit concerned that £60/h is a bit much when I know I'm going to need some work done.

The langley place were better priced and very helpful so decided to make the effort and take it to them.

Will report back if they were decent.

Thanks all.

saidI would report back and never did.

Was very happy with advanced Auto Technik

They kept me int he loop with anythiing extra that needed doing, fitted some second hand parts off a Fiesta they had on site (to save me alot of £) and when I asked if they could sell me some of the specific Semi-Syth oil the Puma needs they just gave me some.

Going back their for an MOT this week - work the 30 min trek for me.
