They may no longer be there now, but when I used to live in Sdale there were always lots of skid or burn out marks on the road coming from Chobham common back to the bridge before you get into the village....not on any other road...dont think it was cos of animals there were to many....always bugged me...any of you lot know the answer???

Ask Ranger 6 - as he lives right on that spot smile

I'm around the corner - but not aware of any burnouts that used to take place.

Thought you might know, Im sure it wasnt burn outs, dont think it was boy racers either, but week after week they were there for years....only thing we though was rabbits in the road early am (no not in cars)....but never any road kill at all.....Not many houses on that bit, but you would be pissed off every night waiting for the head on at the end of the skid..if you did live there.

Aliens????

One of them was my ex who skidded to avoid killing a plastic bag blowing across the road. Can't say I remember too many marks there, but I did also lock on when I had a Suzuki Wagon R+ to avoid hitting a bus coming over the bridge taking up the two lanes. Shame - I could have done with killing that car (it was a courtesy car).
I didn't know Ranger6 lived there previously.....had I done so at the time I would have been more thoughtful wink

Unless the animals always got out of the way in time?

I guess you're talking about the stretch leading up to Titlarks Hill?

Past shops, over bridge, then the stretch up to the first roundabout, but the road side coming into S'dale, not really on going out side???
