IBIS is right near the station in reading and looks like it's around £37:

ETA: I'm getting there lunchtime or earlier for a Gorge breakie and then loads of beer with some of the idiots from work so whatever time you head over I expect there will be a few of us around.

scratchchin I doubt it... if it was a free bar, then they'd need a fleet of ambulances on standby!

I think it's free entry to CAMRA members though?

Alex, probably a spare bed / sofa at mine if you want. I'll be getting the train up on Friday morning unless I think of an easier option.

I need to make it home at some point on Friday night so will not be bringing car or keys or anything other than a label stating "if found please return to crowthorne". hehe

That IBIS I linked too is right in the town centre about a minutes walk from the station which is pretty much next to beer land! smile Out of those on Booking I'd rather sleep on the road (I think).

All fairly crappy TBH, but probably the Mercure George; purely because it's bang in the centre of town and crawling distance from Mix Cocktail Bar and/or the beer festival! (opposite the Hobgoblin, the pub we meet at before Pie...)

Has anyone been before? Any idea how much a pint is roughly at the festival? Fancy taking enough cash and not getting fleeced by what i assume will be a chargeable onsite cash machine?

Thanks
