Reading Beer Festival.... this weekend!
Discussion
Who's up for a wander along to Reading Beer Festival this Friday evening?
Here's why!: 450+ Real Ales, 150+ Ciders and Perries, 140+ Foreign Beers, 45+ English Wines.
£7 to get in and staggering distance to Reading station for those from out of town...

IBIS is right near the station in reading and looks like it's around £37:

ETA: I'm getting there lunchtime or earlier for a Gorge breakie and then loads of beer with some of the idiots from work so whatever time you head over I expect there will be a few of us around.

I'm assuming that the £7 includes a free bar all day
If it does then I'll see you at the gate at 10:55

I doubt it... if it was a free bar, then they'd need a fleet of ambulances on standby!I think it's free entry to CAMRA members though?

Alex, probably a spare bed / sofa at mine if you want. I'll be getting the train up on Friday morning unless I think of an easier option.
I need to make it home at some point on Friday night so will not be bringing car or keys or anything other than a label stating "if found please return to crowthorne".

That IBIS I linked too is right in the town centre about a minutes walk from the station which is pretty much next to beer land! http://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?aid=3015...
Out of those on Booking I'd rather sleep on the road (I think).tuscan_al said:

All fairly crappy TBH, but probably the Mercure George; purely because it's bang in the centre of town and crawling distance from Mix Cocktail Bar and/or the beer festival! (opposite the Hobgoblin, the pub we meet at before Pie...)http://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?aid=3015...
