Good inexpensive place to eat in the evening near Bracknell?
Discussion
Evening folks,
I have the happy joy of spending the whole of the week in Bracknell this coming week.
I'm there on training, and even though it's only about 40 miles from home, previous experiences of getting there for 9am (2hrs 10 minutes being the worst) I'm staying the week in the Hilton.
Expenses aren't massively generous when I'm in this country, and I don't fancy spending every evening in the hotel anyway, so where is there nearby to eat that's decent but not vastly expensive? I'm thinking around £25-30 for main course, pudding and a couple of soft drinks. One reply to say "Puntos in Old Windsor" will be considered sufficient.
Also, if anyone around that area fancies meeting up one evening, give me a shout. Doubtless I'll have to spend an evening or two with others on the course, but I should have a couple of evenings free.

Hello
Some ideas:
The Windmill on the A30 near Windlesham - great food, nice place, a little posh but well within that budget.
Villa 67 Bagshot - fantastic tapas, may be over budget though
The Mogul, Bagshot, amazing curries in fact if you want to go there on Wednesday I'll come along, it's 200 yards from home and I fancy some spice mid week
Across country to Fleet, lots inc We and Golden Triangle (Indian)
Thai House Camberley (v good)
All of these are pretty safe bets.
Steve
And another:
So Asia in Camberley, modestly priced and one of the better 'eat as much as you like' places.

If that's the Hilton on the A322 then head away from Bracknell, turn right at the next roundabout onto 'nine mile ride', down there a couple of miles and straight accross the next roundabout. 'The Golden Retriver' (or Golden Waitress as we used to call it...) is immediately on your left. Not bad at all.

None of those really seem that close to bracknell
Peacock Farm just off the A329m does nice food and excellent beer.
Granted they're not 'in' Bracknell, but they're as close as I'd want to go for a meal out!!

PS - 3 frogs on the way into Wokingham is also pretty good!

The warren just down the road in Binfield was very good as is the Stag and Hounds (think that's what it's called) just further down the road. In fact I'm stuggling with anywhere that's actually that bad as soon as you get outside Bracknell itself.FeelTheNoise said:

Ben, TC, Nigel or someone, what was that pub we went to for lunch a couple of months back just outside Bracknell?
I expect it was Peacock farm... can't remember though if I'm honest.
ETA - Found it. The Belgian Arms.

Clearly my idea of 'near' and everyone else's is totally different
He'll have spent all day in Brackers don't forget, I imagine he'll be pretty keen to escape for a few hours in the evening!!

By "near", I mean "absolutely very definitely not in!"
The Belgian Inn in Holyport is about the perfect distance to be just outside a 5 mile exclusion zone I reckon!
