Used to go to this every year but not been for a few years now. Anyone fancy going this year as a group? Not really a 'driving' weekend as the hours are fairly unsociable and spectator traffic between stages can be stationary at times... Also not good to take the P&J if you'll be worried about leaving it parked on some forest track for several hours - not a crime issue, more a ground clearance and potential mud issue!

No ticket prices have been announced yet, but it's usually £100'ish for a full weekend pass including the special stages and garage areas.

Dates: 22-25 Oct (Thurs-Sun).

Travelodge or similar in Cardiff centre will be about £60 per night per room. We could get a bunk house in the Beacons for £30'ish each, but there's not a lot NOTHING to do in the evenings!

Please post up if you’re a definite or a possibility so I can get a rough idea of numbers.

Warning: you WILL get very wet, very dirty, extremely tired, very lost and probably extremely drunk - and that's just the nights out in Cardiff! hehe

I have a mental image of 10 or so PHers all in the back of the pick-up giving people some abuse.

Dude, we're a bunch of drunk trouble makers NOT a bunch of drunken farmers. rolleyes

Well except for bmw2002, he has the dodgy accent. wink

Drunken trouble makers is clearly a collective term as I'm neither of them! angel

Before I forget JJCW, did you manage to make it to Ockham for the convoy? smile

Count me in - if only for the night out in Cardiff. Fun city at night.

Likely to be 2 nights in Cardiff - depending on the night stages may even be 3... biggrin

Although to see the best stages and leading cars generally involves a fairly early start. frown

As a further thought, Hertz currently hire Fiesta's for £15.60 a day; and if you add on a full insurance waiver and unlimited mileage that comes to £71 for four days hire (Thurs 9am to Mon 9am) per car...evil

Yes, but it's well know that insurance waivered Hertz Fiestas make the best rally cars... hehe

I'm a definate possible for this smile

Went to a couple of stages a few years ago with my brother just as a day trip. Did'nt really feel like we got the proper 'rally' experience so would like to give it another crack. Plus I've never been out on the piss in Cardiff biggrin

Cardiff is definitely good for a night out (and getting your phones stolen, but that's another story).

Sadly I'll be at uni by that time, but I'm sure i'll still be drink and representing the SAS.

With the sponsorship row and potential calendar issues this will be the one to go to as next year's event is in doubt. I may be 'working' on this one (safety radio) so could be up for accomodation and beer smile
