Hi,

I'm based in Aldershot and need to send a surfboard (7ft 4inches) to somewhere on Saturday. I'm not sure where but I'll know when the eBay auction ends. I need a fairly cheap courier in the area but I don't even know where to start? Will they pick up.. Because I have basically no way of transporting the surfboard from my house.

Cheers.

I have just spoken to our courier co, You would have to pay on Ccard and to get your item from Aldershot to Newquay(guessed location) and it would cost you £360 + vat and could only be done sameday so prob cheaper to take it there yourself.

Surf's up dude !!

I'll do it for £350!

By a tranny van for £100, £100 fuel, £150 profit!

Look on ebay for couriers, one company in Glasgow ships a car bumper anywhere in the UK for £25, so shouldn't be much more for you.

Are you having a laugh?

That's the most ridiculous price I've ever heard, I was thinking more in the region of £30 max!

Thanks for asking though.

To be fair its not a bad price unfortunately. We get charged £70 for a transit to go into London frown

http://www.interparcel.com/

I've used these people reliably many times - they utilise ups/dhl/citylink etc etc and give you an instant online quote for various services if you know dimensions and weight.

They collect from you and deliver wherever you want in the world and are well priced.

I've used interparcel before too - though recently i've found them more expensive than P4D.
Worth checking both, between them you should find the best possible deal.

I use Citysprint and they quote me 69p per mile for a small van so where that price came from I dont know. Even a transit rate wouldnt be that much.

If your interested I know a chap who would be very reasonable and would take it sameday in his transit for a lot less than that.
