Well, i'll go t't foot of our old stairs!

Following the recent drifting fun, I've been looking for a Dunlop SP 9000 for the barge, and Bracknell Tyres just can't get them. Event Tyres quoted £185 and wouldn't budge. ALS quoted £140 but couldn't get them in time, so in deparation i called Kwik-Fit. I fell of my chair at the first quote of £229, but when he asked about other quotes, came down to £145 with a tyre available tomorrow! biggrin

Now, it's clear that they have significant margin built in to their prices, so just ask the question! Anyone else had this from Kwik-Fit

for the avoidance of doubt i have no connections with this organisation, just sharing the joy of a "deal"

I've used Humphries (which I'm pretty sure is part of Kwikfit) in Caversham a couple of times in the past. Price matched Mytyres first time and came close to Bracknell Tyre & Batt last time (main benefit that second time being they could actually get the tyre I wanted when no where else could!).

So yeah, Kwikfit comes in for a lot of stick but they are'nt too bad IME (except they did over tighten the nuts on my nearside front leading me to bend my wrench trying to get to get them off! mad)
