Isn't there roadworks on the m25 around the a1 junction? I think there are massive tailbacks there sometimes.
TBH it's not the M25 I'd be worried about, but the a12 going into Romford. Once past Gallows corner it comes to a standstill normally, to the fire station. I stayed in a dive of a hotel (the Coach House iirc) in Romford for a couple of weeks and walked quicker into the town centre than the cars moved.

Would recommend the train more.

Go south section then off at A13 and up that way, less traffic.

yes have done that journey a few times myself, I always go South and through Dartford tunnel, takes on average anything from 1hr to 1hr 20 depending on traffic..

Where abouts in Romford you got to go Diz?

Oh and I come off the M25 and go the old A13 (A1306)..
from the Dartford tunnel it takes about 25mins to get to Romford

Have only been there once for food, and was very good, they are completely refurbishing it all at the mo so might have improved since your last visit hopefully..

Oh god yeah, head South and use the tunnel, going all the way around north is just asking for trouble...

My Navman just directed me that way, Dad's Audi built-in system did the same, as did a quick peek on Google Maps

Depends on what time you thinking about, in the morning the M25 form J11 to the tunnel normally is flowing well whereas J11 clockwise is normally static and then vice versa in the evenings....i always went anticlockwise to the tunnel when i commuted to Tilbury.
