Thinking with the nice weather around, maybe dig up a south coast itn file and go watch the GP somewhere?

Fathers Day for me, means I get to sit and home and be waited on hand and foot (least that is what I assume will happen).

Sounds a bit too much like hard work, if we could find somewhere in portsmouth to watch the GP and get some grub I'd be in I think.

My thinking too, don't really want to head down there to come back up and then I'm back down there for Glasto on Tuesday, just a morning drive early and GP was my thoughts.

Is Goodwood on/open ? Not actually had a decent size/price meal there though in the past. Maybe Chichester or Port Solent again, or Hayling Island sailing club if we can get in?

Ah not done the aero club, just going on brekky club experiences. Or the marina. I know one of the itn's starts at Ockham, then winds down to the coast, haven't done it for a long time so quite fancy that.

Port Solent marina is great for breakie as there's lloyds and David updated the itn file to end there a while back. Just not sure if there's anywhere that would be showing the GP close by?

I am not sure if the LLoyds at Port Solent will have the GP on, also there are a few bars on Guildhall Walk road that might show it, a walkabout there, or some pubs down by the Historic Marina. I will ring around a few pubs in a min and ask.

Mercedes Benz World will be showing it on a big screen. Not been to one of their screenings yet but think they are pretty good, not on the coast admittedly but a morning hoon looping back to there may work for you. I might even join for the GP there if you did that - family plans dependant.

Was thinking of an early start, avoid traffic. Merc World would be cool to watch it at. Timings would work well then. Drive down, brekky then instead of having 2 hrs to wait until race coverage, head back up to merc world. 7am?
