Driving Instructor - Slough!

Hola Chaps & Chapette's!

I've got a close girlfriend who I've been seeing for a little while & she's now finally getting round to sorting out her driving.

She's previously had lessons with a horrible instructor & after what must be 12 months out of the driving seat wants to get back into the swing asap. She doesn't want to master a manual box at the mo & assumes that just by doing lessons on automatic she can get on the road as soon as possible.

What I'm in need of is thoughts as to whether this theory she has is true? & secondly, someone around the area who's not hugely expensive, teaches stuff that us lot would approve of & use to this day & basically trains her properly for the road & not only just to pass her test (Although that's all she really wants).

Any thoughts?

Any other suggestions? I'm half hoping someone knows an ex retired police driver that's now doing driving lessons for sub £20 like I used to get

Can't help on recommendations, but thought I would say her experience sounds just like the one my mum went through. Seems like her instructor just shouted at her rather than actually helping or instructing her.

She gave up for years, then finally got an automatic license without too much trouble.

Only driving autos is a little limiting, but she seems happy in her Tigra
