An old Lady, a Ford Galaxy and .......

This is what happens when a wheelchair using 75 yr old lady driving a 58 plate Ford Galaxy tries to park outside Punto







Several customers and one member of staff injured, not seriously thankfully, only Tonino being kept in overnight Could have been a lot worse.

Any of our resident Bib attend?, as there were about 7 Police cars there within minutes

He'll be ok, him and 3 customers were squashed between the back of the car and the window/wall. Luckily the wall stopped her from going any further
You can see what she did to the bollard, that's sunk a foot into the ground with concrete!!

It was not a good night. we were going to sit outside but couldnt get a table. on the plus side if this had happened 15 mins before it would of been much worse as there was a family sat right where she ran over. The fiesta owners club all stopping to watch us didn't help matters.

Sure was mate. The lady was shouting it was not her fault, and that somone was parked in the disabled person spot. (wasn't us)

What so disabled person spot taken, she thought the only other option available was reverse through a bollard and try and park on a table full of customers instead - I can see her point, she really didn't have much choice but to do what she did

Agreed - i'm not certain but surely even disabled bays aren't 24' x 15' with bollards, chairs and tables in them? She's too old to be driving, end of.

Just been out to look at her vehicle, its not even fitted with hand controls! She can't walk, she's driving a massive MPV when she's about 5' tall, an accident waiting to happen I guess. But of course it won't be her fault.......
