Hiya,

As I mentioned in one of my posts the other day, developers are trying to move into Pincents Hill in Calcot/Tilehurst. Now, this is a bad thing because this is a really nice hill, lots of wide open spaces for wildlife to live, kids to play and dogs to walk. If anybody wants links to the proposed site plans, I can dig those up for you.

But in the meantime, someone has put up a petition. If you have a couple of minutes spare, could you please sign it? I know HM Govt will almost certainly ignore it, but anything's worth a try.

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/PincentsHill/

There's also an address to write to, if anybody wants to object in writing to granting of the planning permission. If anybody wants that, I can post it here as well.

Thanks in advance. beer

I was actually thinking of a two step approach:

1. Any chav's etc. that could still maybe be useful at some point, sterilisation to improve the gene pool long term.
2. Any real scum should be put to death immediately. (this does mean we'll need some more people to run the country though)

I of course should be allowed to decide who falls into each group and the decision will be final hehe

Can we not just reinstate hunting with hounds, but leave the foxes out of it? wink

Just debating whether to ask if I can post this in the Lounge as well, what do you reckon? The petition, I mean, not the debate on chav culling. hehe

Go on, I'm sure a few people will sign it, and I might start the chav culling debate there too!

I've just mailed Garlick to ask him nicely if I'm allowed a cross-post. Just this once. smile

Go for it, start a thread! I'm sure there's videos somewhere of chav hunting, too. Tally ho! biggrin

Sgirl, as a local who's been here off and on for 20+ years you have not done your homework on this at all. And asking people to sign a petition about something they've never heard off or live anywhere near is total b ollox.

The current proposition is widely supported locally and 100 times better than the previous development ideas!

The 'lovely green fields' you describe, but have obviously never been too, overlook industrial estates and the M4 and are generally avoided except for the local caravan park residents looking for somewhere to let their dogs crap.

So for people on here who decide to sign the petition but have no idea why or what they're signing, at least take some time to fking look into it and get the facts!
