Posted for Rich, hes done some good work here, really must get him back on here!

So onto Saturday mornings job!

I had my boss’s car today for a bit of work as she had taken a plastic scourer :speechles to her paint in an attempt to remove some bird bombs to only then realise what she had done! She needed it the work done prior to her OH coming back from a work trip so I managed to squeeze her in yesterday morning for some TLC.

I dropped her off at Bicester Village so she could spend some time shopping whilst I then came did the work. :detailer:

My Plan was to use menz products to spot repair the major areas and then give the whole car a going over with Dodo NFS to restore some gloss to the paint.

Process Used
Wheels - Megs Wheel Brightener Diluted 2:1 and various brushes
Prewash - Megs Hyperwash
Wash - 2BM CG Maxi Suds II
Clay - Sonus Green and Megs LT
Wash - SBM CG Maxi Suds II
Door shuts cleaned with APC then wiped down with CG Speed Wipe
Body - Inspection and correction using Sonus Yellow pad and Menz S34A
Body - Refined Using Dodo NFS
Body & Glass - Wiped down using CG Speed Wipe

Pics upon delivery
Overall: (I don’t think the car has been washed properly in its life!)

The Wheels (soon to become a horror story!)

The Scoured areas!

Swirly Swirly!

The wheels after Megs WB diluted 2:1 applied and scrubbed!

Now I really wasn’t happy with leaving the wheels like this but with only a few hours to do the work in I had to leave them to focus on the aim of the detail which for me to get the paint repaired.

Pre wash using Megs Hyperwash

Car was then rinsed off and washed using 2BM then dried with CG Miracle Drier and Megs LT

All door shuts where then cleaned with APC and wiped down with CG Speed Wipe
Before

After

Paint Inspection

50/50 after two passes

Spot Correction taken as far as I was comfortable having done several passes using Sonus cutting pad and Menz S34A

Still some left unfortunately

Spot work.

I then set about using Dodo NFS on a Sonus Polishing pad to refine and finish off the paintwork offering mild protection and restoring some gloss to the paintwork.

Total Time was circa 3.5hours.

C&C welcome

Sorted now, his overzealous use of space bar stopped the links working.

With the Bora I was focussing much more on reducing the damaged areas rather than perfecting the paint.

I generally offer two services a “Mini” Detail and a “Full” Detail however these are flexible to what you are looking for.

A mini detail is more what was done on the Bora with some extra work focussing on repairing the scratched areas, this usually involves the following;

-Wheel Wash
-Pre Wash
-Wash
-Clay
-Wash
-Machine polish and protect – Dodo Juice Need for Speed
-Sealant – Zaino CS
-Windows Wiped down with Chemical Guys Speed Wipe
-Trim Treated with Auto Glym Bumper Care
-Tyres Treated using Meguiars Endurance Gloss
-Internal wipe down

Here is a few of the “Mini” Details I’ve done.
Renault Clio
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...
Porsche Boxster
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...
BMW M5
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...

These usually take up to 4 hours and for a small car like a Renault Clio it would cost £40 and for a larger car like a BMW 5 series would be £60. However this is subject to me seeing pictures of the car first.

A Full detail is much more involved as it requires a lot more work at the polishing and protection stages but the finish really is fantastic.

It involves the following;
External;
-Wheels - Meguiars Wheel Brightener and various brushes
-Prewash - Meguiars Hyperwash
-Wash - 2BM Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II
-Clay - Sonus Green and Megs LT
-Wash - SBM Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II
-Specific Dirt areas cleaned – All Purpose Cleaner then wiped down with Chemical Guys Speed Wipe
-Polish - Inspection and Full correction using Menzerna Polishes’ and Sonus Pads
-Glaze – Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish
-Sealant – Zaino CS
-Wax – Collinite 476s
-Trims Treated with Auto Glym Bumper Care
-Tyres Treated using Meguiars Endurance Gloss
-Glass - Wiped down using Chemical Guys Speed Wipe

Internal;
-Hoover
-Wipe down and clean of all surfaces.
-Leather Cleaned and Treated
-Internal Glass Cleaned

Here are a few of the “Full” Details I’ve done
Volvo S60
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...
BMW 320D
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...

These usually take up to 9 hours working from 8am till 5pm and for a Renault Clio it would cost £110 and for a larger BMW 5 series £160. However again these prices are a guide and I would need to see pictures of the car first.

I’m located close to Bicester village and happy to drop you off there so you can shop for the day, and oxford is a short bus journey away. I prefer working from home however I can come to you if you can provide me with a tap, an electric supply, and I would need to cover my travel costs.

I must point out though, I am not a professional, I only do this at weekends as a hobby and as such do not have insurance, but this is reflected in my prices.

As emailed to me from Rich, He just wants to help the PH SAS massive!
