Sounds like a pretty cool way to be woken up to be honest, well, better than having a squirrel sat on a fence screaming at you!

Speaking of which, anyone care to recommend a decent air rifle?

I use a trap baited with nuts or a nutty chocolate bar shoot If you feel bad about killing the destructive little feckers, you can take them on a little journey & set them free.

That looks as though it's up to the job! thumbup

Out of interest, do you happen to know the power limit for air rifles? I was looking into it a few years back and vaguely remember reading that some rifles come right on the limit but you could tweak them for extra power if you'll be shooting at a longer distance.

I used to have a BSA Goldstar with a 12lb/ft spring in it - was mightily effective up to about 300 feet...

Something came over here last night, but living near the Army Training Grounds I regularly have Chinooks hovering just over my house at unsociable hours just above the trees. Most irritating...

LOL, compared to the old one this one is positively silent!!!!!

I think they need to buy that one from the film that had silent running so it could sneak up on people!!!!!!!
