Can anyone recommend a good Physio? I have been put on an NHS waiting list but been warned that it will take at least two months before they will be able to make the appointment. If at all possible I don't want to wait that long. I have sprained my ankle quite badly twice in 4 weeks and I am paranoid that it will happen again without some sort of treatment.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I can only recommend someone who is based in Winchester, he works in Basingstoke Tuesday and Thursday. He sorted me out prior to a knee op and post opp.

PM if you want his details.

Cheers

My other half and I have had treatment at The Physio Studio in Binfield http://www.physiostudio.com and Roger Duckworth in Wokingham http://www.rdphysio.com
Both have been friendly and helpful and often work reasonably late a few evenings a week I think so I would recommend either of them!
P.S. Hope you get better soon!

My physio was brilliant and based in Woodley, right by the shopping precinct. If this is close enough drop me a text or something and i'll find the number for you.

I have been using http://www.bracknellosteopathy.com/page111.html for 10 years or so now and they are very good. If you see Sarah Tregear she will not only fix your problem but give you exercises to do at home to strengthen your ankle as well, as she used to be a sports physio. It just so happens she could see you on Thursday/Saturday this week as well. Hope you get it sorted.

There is a really good fella working out of Overton and Charter Alley (a bit closer for you). He also works for the Basingstoke Ice Hockey team...

Hi.Geraldine Watkins at Active VIII in Henley is well worth the trip out of Reading. Her specialism is biomechanics and she will do a full biomechanical assessment if necessary Has worked with International sportsmen and women, pro footballers and is an ex University lecturer. Top lady.

Thanks all of you for your suggestions, I'm about to sit down and start phoning round.

A special thanks to Sods Law. Dave I may be frustrated but I don't think I'm barmy just yet! (although others may not agree)

For some reason, I keep thinking about that scene in Pulp Fiction. There must be somewhere on the Oxford Road you could try......(!)

Hazel: Have you ever given a foot massage?
Jules: [scoffs] Don't be tellin' me about foot massages. I'm the foot fkin' master.
Hazel: Given a lot of 'em?
Jules: st yeah. I got my technique down and everything, I don't be ticklin' or nothin'.
