Help!!! frown

Insurance expires beginning of October.

People are either extremely expensive or do not want to cover me at all!!!!
Why?? frown (Is it because I am a woman?)

So far I have tried:

Adrian Flux - £750
Keith Michaels - Would not supply a quote
Swift - too young
esure - too young
Churchill - too young
admiral - £843

a whole load more... basically around the £750 to £1100 mark!!! its only an Alfa hehemaybe thats why hmmm

Elephant on their renewal quote is £600 (Will call and badger them down)

Are there other insurance people to get a quote from?

Anywhere else I can try?

Ouch they're expensive yikes

Have you tried upping the excess you are willing to pay? A bit of a gamble but if you've got a good driving record, it may save you a few quid.

Have you rung Elephant? They charged you £200 for 6 months of cover so I'd ignore the premium they posted through the door and ring them. I always get quoted about £200 - £300 more than than previous year when it comes to renewal so I ring them up and reduce my premium further.

I'm with Chriss Knott too. Was the best for me, but I had to consider the mods to my car too which I don't think you will have to?

Have you tried Privilege and More Than? Both usually give good quotes for me.

Yep, as the others have said, try A-Plan and Greenlight as well.

whoever you go with, try seeing if they are on www.quidco.com, its a cash back website and for insurance you normally see £50 commission back to yourself, and its only what all these compare the whatever make their money from.

Goes for breakdown too.

I know it sounds daft, but try one of the comparison sites? At least you'll get a list of companies that will insure you, and you can then phone them direct to get a better price...

What the other Don says ^^^

I got £200 knocked off my family bus insurance & included a third driver to the policy with no experience - A-Plan (who it was with) couldn't get near the price.

In the end (through the comparison sites) I went with Admiral.

what's going on?, I never paid that much when I was your age frown

Do you have someone else as named driver on the policy? even if they don't drive the car- it will help

Have you tried Confused yet, it's a good start and will give you an idea- I think even Tescos Value quote hehe

Also try Norwich Union/Aviva they have been cheap for me in the past.

ETA, sorry Don & john, I missed your post about confused paperbag
