Tried Ebay, Demon Tweeks, Google Search, etc, but they all only have eye bolts instead of standard bolts.

I need to put the new harnesses into the back of the bug, and I am one bolt short!

They need to be 7/16 UNF (and I guess 8.8 high tensile strength). Happy to go to a breaker if I can get a new one.

There used to be a Beetle parts company over in Slough - can't recall the name, but do recall their location. Although this was a few years ago now.

Is that near Montys Phil?

If so, I'm popping over there within the next 2 hours.

The problem I have is that they need to fit modern fia approved harness plates. The beetle ones I have seem to be a different thread frown

7/16 is the same size as most older yank wheel nuts threads, so maybe NorthantsTyres in Fleet will have some

(of course only if you've had no luck)

No problem. smile

As it happens, I had a drive around that estate for the best part of 10 minutes and couldn't even find the place. Either it's very well hidden or not there anymore..

Glad you got it sorted! thumbup
