london to beaujolais race

Each year, when Beaujolais Nouveau barrels into the market on the third Thursday of November, people rush to be the first to taste the new vintage and this year i'm considering trying to organise a dash to collect a case. The pub i run is planning a dinner to be held here and then a drive down to the chateau to collect.

at the moment its not confirmed but i'm just trying to see if anyone would be interested. the only real problem for most of you is that it would start on a wednesday night and we would not return untill thursday evening.

all in all its about 1300 moterway miles in two day for 12 bottles of wine each. plus lunch or dinner at the chateau.

if anyone has done this before or wants to give me a shout and ill put a bit more thought into it.

But only on the condition i don't have to drink more than a couple of sips, as it's normally horrible stuff!
