Yes, I know it's an odd question. My brother Blair's stag day is very soon, and we are going open ground shooting at Bisley, then heading to Richmond and meeting others for food and a Comedy night. After leaving the shooting we are going to The Bee for a first drink.

The plan from there is to find pubs on route from Windlesham to Richmond which start with L, A, I, R, and H - not necessarily found in that order.

Ideally the path will need to include decent pubs that are open on a Sunday afternoon, and will look something like:
Windlesham - Chertsey - Weybridge - Shepperton - Walton on Thames - Sunbury - Hampton - Twickenham - Richmond.

So far we have:

B - thumbup it's definitely The Bee

L - Lass o' Richmond Hill, Richmond

A - The Anglers, Walton on Thames

I - thumbup Inn @ West End, nr Woking

R - thumbup Red Lion, Chobham

H - thumbup The Hope in Richmond, because thats where the comedy is.

Obviously I still have a few holes in the theory so far. Any ideas for SAS recommended places please?

Also, I'm going to call Ascot Cars to see if they can provide a transport with 4 x 20 minute stops for about 8 people, unless anyone can recommend a minibus/ 8 seater/ hummer/ etc with driver that is.

If you are there waiting when I arrive, then I'll let you buy me a drink in trade for a seat on the bus hehe

Does anyone have local knowledge of Richmond or Walton on Thames?

I found a couple of L pub options. The Lot, and The Lass o' Richmond Hill.

Also a new A pub which is en-route. The Anglers in Walton.

The Anglers Retreat in Walton is in a very nice location, right next to the Thames with views across the weir etc and if you don't like it, The Swan is right next door.
Another suggestion for an 'H' in Richmond is the Hole in the Wall. Very small pub but tucked out of the way and as such, you don't tend to get too many aholes in there.
A suggestion for the 'L' & 'A' combined is The London Apprentice in Isleworth which again is a nice pub right by the river.

All sorted! Cheers for the help.

Ascot Cars supplying a driver and 8 seater VW Caravelle, with stops planned at...
B - Bee, Windlesham
L - Lass o' Richmond Hill, Richmond
A - Anglers, Walton on Thames
I - Inn @ West End
R - Red Lion, Chobham
H.- Hope, Richmond

I think they are all open on Sunday afternoons...

Should be a proper 'broken' night hehe

I'll keep this one for an additional place in Richmond. If we have time on the way to the Comedy evening at the Hope, we will stop in for a quick pint thumbup

Of all the years I worked at Sky just up the road, and I never knew about that place. Looks great!

Only thing missing from a normal stag do is the obligatory trip to a lovely lady bar. All closed on Sundays it seems frown
