Anyone know anything about AUDI 80 2.6 Quattros
Discussion
Hi Guys I've found a cheap 80 2.6 5dr Estate and going to possibly look at it tomorrow. does anyone have any info I need to know about, I'll obviously be pretty hard on it and give it a good going over but at under £1k I cant complain if it runs well.
So any info? The engine has done 110k miles but I currently have no info on SH or MOT so shall be ringing at lunch to check it out.

They're not quick but a well looked after V6 is silky smooth and ideal for motorway driving. Also, once wound up, you can hussle them through B roads at a fair lick considering it's a fairly heavy 150bhp car.
The V6 coupe can suffer from front suspension failure which can be a tad on the expensive side to fix. Considering the coupe is based on the 80, there's a good chance the 80 may suffer from this too. These cars are getting a little older now but there should be absolutely no signs of rust as the car will be fully galvernised and the engine should be as tight as a drum if looked after.
I've seen quite a few of these floating around with astronomical mileage too which is a testament to the engineering.
