Went to collect one of my dogs from the doggy hospital and ended being trailered home courtesy of the very nice man at the AA. Can't put the car into gear (manual) when the engine is running. Clutch or gearbox? Any ideas? All suggestions gratefully received...

Not familiar with them small cars but if it's got a clutch cable should be
an easy fix.
Did the AA rescue check it out before ordering the tow job ?

Nice profile photo I must say ...

So if you work on the basis of it being the operation system ie cable or hydraulic and not the clutch itself it maybe a simple fix.

If you have pedal pressure but no activation it may be the clutch pressure casing which means clutch out.
And you might as well install a complete clutch assembly as I would image it's a PITA to do so not worth cutting corners.
Put a new clutch in my mums Fiesta once - cue lots of @$%#@%"@

Have a good mate in a local garage in Windlesham.

Anyway it's beer O' clock - time for a beer/band at 3Mariners
