Pretty sure it's just another rebranding of the nightclub i.e. it remains a nightclub but one which is called the Casino!

Seen this every evening on my way home from work. T'is just another re-branding that will be there for 3-6 months and then change again. That place has had so many names in the last couple of years, and yet I still don't go in there.

Then again, I don't really go to Guildford anymore. I seem to spend a large amount of my time in real ale pubs in Godalming. I think i'm getting old before my time. frown

Some decent places to go Okgo, you just need to stay away from that end of town. I like The Keep at the mo, nice small place.

Craig, Godalming is good for some real ales. Don't worry about getting old, I started on the real ales at about 26 and haven't looked back, they taste SSSOOOOOOO much nicer than lager (which still has its place at times)!

That's what I'm worried about Neil, i'm 24 hehe

The Keep is nice yes, although I haven't actually been out in Guildford for some time now. Spend half my time in Godalming, the other half in London.

A touch harsh! the club is shyte, and the other one is worse, but there are a few good places to have a pint if you know where to go! wink

I don't like their up their own arse pricing in said places. Its not fking london, so why shoudl I pay £4 for a bottle of beer!

London is a close train ride from Guildford and is well worth it.

In the 15yrs I've been around this area it's either been called 'Harpers' or 'The Drink'. Regardless of the name, it's always been an awful place to spend an evening.

I used to spend many nights in there when I was 18 (many years ago) and then when I lived in Section housing, but it is a bit of a dump. I would be suprised if he ever got his Casino licence smash

Bejeebers!!!!!!!!

Bojanglez was legendary, didn't that close down after a fire years back???? And didn't it have another name shortly before the fire?

One of my funniest nights out in Guildford ended up at the Ladymead kebab van on the route home with me putting 2 million turkish Lira (before they changed the value of it a couple of years back) towards my kebab as I'd just got back from hols and had some knocking about in my wallet. Still see that van around now but haven't used it in years. Any good still?

Okgo, there's some decent pubs hidden away in Guildford so don't dismiss it completely. Try The Keep, The Kings Head, The Royal Oak, The Keystone or The White House....none of these are really expensive and all serve a good range of beers.

I've probably seen you in there before and not realised! I'm often in The Star in Godalming, particularly on a Friday night. I leave Woking after stopping for a quick pint with the work guys in O'Neills, and then head over to The Star and remain there for some time hehe

Poker rooms pretty much only exist (as in people bother,or casinos bother to have them) in London.
