Interesting choice, however I can't see you driving a generic 3-series saloon?

If going sensible surely go the whole hog and get a 5 / 7 smile

If got an Audi warranty then everything is covered - even squeaks and rattles! Cost is about £2k per year but there are mileage limitations. I renewed with Warrantywise for under £1k and it's very comprehensive with a very small excess, although it is an insurance policy so you have to get them to agree the work, then get it done and pay for it. They then send a cheque within a week. Mine paid for itself 4 weeks after taking it out (new water pump)! I also got the cambelt and thermostat done at the same time and the dealer only charged me for the parts at cost... biggrin

Don't touch a low-miler - the higher mileage cars have had all the 'chocolate' bits replaced with the upgraded versions!

MRC will do you a good deal on supplying and fitting a Milltek system...

But I do prefer the Avants and they hold there price better too.

Which E55? n/a version is bulletproof, just make sure you change the gearbox oil and watch out for rust on front wings.

'Charged E55 is a whole world of bills - you'd be (much) better off with an M5.

Looks good.

Budget tops really 20k but it has to be alot more car than what I have.

Like the idea of a cayman or 987, Z4m, Europa, monaro.

The E55 AMG K would be fun but a big bill killer, think the only way to go amg is with a warranty car when you can afford to buy main dealer nearly new.

yes

I've always liked them and Fidgits made me like them even more after taking me out in his.

I was suprised as to how quick it was, the sense of acceleration didn't tail off at all and it appears to be a very capable car indeed!

I'd almost certainly get a test-drive in one if you can Al.

Or even a 3. They seem quite steep for what they are though.
