I'm off out to build a snowman!
Since I can't drive anywhere untill the sun kills the snow abit, I live at the bottom of a hill and currently have an abundance of cars outside my house spinning around, making it to the hill then 5 minutes later drifting back up the roads they came from when realizing it's hardly possible.
Problem is I was meant to go to Solihull and even more importantly I have a massage booked there!!!

Loads of people are getting stuck on the hill but some people are making it up. However I'm not sure my tyres are too amazing, what's the chances in my steedy 206? any tips?
Very slowly and don't slow down at the bottom of the hill just keep momentum up, also plan for it going wrong so make sure you're not going to hit anything if you start sliding. Slow and steady is the best plan in snow / ice.Cas_P said:

I would suggest a steady speed in second and just keep it moving, gently with the throttle and you be fine .... or ..... my personal approachPOWER POWER POWER and then more POWER!

Just nearly had comedy slow motion coming together at a downhill junction - 2mph approach and antilock brakes going berserk as soon as touch the pedal, wait a bit as sure will find some grip... NO... bunged on full lock and gradually car edged towards kerb which when found did bring us to the elusive "stationary", all with about an inch to spare before the person in front's rear bumper - he was eyes ablaze in his mirrors.
