At my parents house, alone on xmas eve well now xmas just put up the tree ready for tomorrow when I cook for the family (bar my mom and dad who are off soaking up the sun in F'ventura lucky gits), about to go and lay the table so I don't have tonnes to do tomorrow, whilst listening to Phil Collins - The best of (honestly is this acceptable for someone who is 22?) and I found myself feeling a little sorry for myself, I never asked to grow up, I was quite happy being in bed at this time not being able to sleep because Santa was on his way and waking up in the morning to tonnes of presents, dinner being cooked for me etc etc.

Does anyone else ever get nostalgia at xmas time or am I being pathetic?

Oh & Merry Christmas!!! xx

Hey Cas nowt wrong with nostalgia at all, just means you have good memories and you have realised that maturity takes on a whole new meaning to life!
Phil Collins proves that you have an excellent choice in music so don't feel older than your years,(find a younger man lol) it is all part of your life history surfacing (perhaps your folks used to be genisis fans and made you listen to him when you were young)
Child abuse hehe

I am the official Bah Humbug Grinch at xmas as it brings so many painful memories for me personally. Hence why we are away for xmas.

So get cooking missy and have a few glasses of wine and enjoy spoiling the family and have a great day

Nothing wrong at all, just ensure your not unhappy. This is the first year since I was 16 ive been alone and ive enjoyed it more than ever. Just see it as another day nothing more. And there are as many single unhappy blokes as there are women, its just getting them to have balls to talk to you. If your unhappy speak to freinds and spend your time with people you care about and who care for you.

Loved it! even with a full day of cooking it was awesome, managed to do xmas dinner with no problems and everyone seemed to love it! Gammon, Turkey, roast potatoes (properly of course, no packets used!!) Parsnips, cabbage and stuffing balls yummmmmmmmmm!

Just looking for home cinema systems now so I can order one and have it ready to be delivered for my return home, anyone know what sites are best for price, quality etc?

x
