Need to get down A3 from M25 tomorrow morning (10am) and to Slyfield Industrial Estate.

What state are the roads in at the moment??

From the A3 to Slyfield uses the A320, which is a major route, so they look after it (Surrey CC have said that they are gritting A roads). I would expect it to be fine.

Excellent - thank you - I certainly won't be taking the Jacobswell backroute tomorrow...

Also, try asking the regional Thames Valley & Surrey forum.

+1 If coming from the M25, get off at J11 & go straight through Woking & out the other side on the A320. Roads to Woking from the M25 are fine.

All the side-side roads in the area are 2" of compacted snow (probably turning to ice shortly!), but the industrial estate roads are probably slushy but fine.

This was the end of Farnham Rd earlier today, I didn't make it in yesterday but apparently it was closed for much of the day due to ice!

Thanks for all that.

I am coming from M40, so will most likely go down to the A320 turn-off from the A3, it is a short run north from there. I have 4WD (Range Rover) - going up hills is not a problem, it's the going down I don't like combined with idiot road users !!!

I am in normandy. Main roads (inc Guildford road) fine. Side roads are fun but ok. Just avoid side roads with gradient and you will be fine.

I went down last night to give my Gran a lift to the hospital to visit my Grandad. Grans house is in Onslow village and the side roads are 2" thick, completely untreated but passable (just), though took the Yaris and not the M3. A3 was fine to cruise at 65/70, but third lane was still snow covered (which meant I flashed a few 50mph middle laners).

Made it no problem - the roads near me in Marlow are worse than here...

I was there this morning as well.
Got there about 10.30.
st - wish I'd known as my climbing partner didn't turn up, and I had to sit there for 2 hours (while my daughter did kids club) surfing PH in the cafe (which is no bad thing). Bouldering on my own is not my thing...

I was belaying for my 9 y/o son.
Didn't book kids club early enough, am going to do next term though.
I had the grey pathfinder parked out front smile

You signed up for the term?
Yup, will be there every Sat for next 10 wks (apart from next Sat when wife will be there alone as I am Pheasant shooting...)

Plan is to our 6yo with us and wife and I climb with her while eldest in kids club, climbing partner was to show up when wife not coming but he was snowed in!!!

Come and say hi next time, I am in silver 02 Range Rover and can usually be seen falling off 5+ leads and failing at 6a top ropes, grey DMM rope bag.

Time to start a PH climbing club?

Joe.
