Just been offered this as a swap on Tuscan

Personally its not you!
You'll find it non inspiring and dare i say a chav feel compared to the Tuscan.
As Blues said yours is a keeper, you have so many doubts on getting rid of the Tusc, this would be nothing like the TVR.
I would in your shoes look at other TVR's if you have lost the tingle that you used to get with the Tusc.
Just my 2p but i wouldn't go jap after having such an iconic car.

Actually it looks pretty good, although from my limited knowledge they're much less popular than the older style cars. Having a quick browse through the classifieds suggests it's not priced that badly either! Just thinking maybe it'll get a little tiring very quickly, it certainly wouldn't have the long term appeal of a Tuscan. If you're looking to change, what about something totally different to the Tuscan like an M5 or similar fast saloon??

I think it would be worth a trip to Bristol to take it around the block, the body kit does make it a little chavvy but it could give you power, practicality, reliability and good MPG, and there's a reasonable chance the diff could effectively get the power to the road without too much of a fight. If it was in white/black and didn't have a body kit IMO it would be closer to ideal..
The Jackson Racing kit doesn't use an intercooler Al, so with that sort of mileage I'd be worried about engine wear, (I've seen SIGNIFICANT wear on an engine with less than 1/2 that mileage due to the heat of the charger - add to this the raised redline)...
Also, I can't comment on the company that fitted it due to name and shame rules....
However, I can wholly recommend the company that fitted the coilovers!

raises the question...... where do TVR drivers go next?
what is out there that is current and available that you'd all swap to?
very very hard, nothing sub 25k hits the mark it seems, may be fast or handle better but not the complete package. I think I have been very lucky to just straight into Tuscan ownership and have three great years. Only thing is a newer tvr. what is out there that is current and available that you'd all swap to?

Can't beat a TVR for value for money and ownership experience.what is out there that is current and available that you'd all swap to?
E.g. a Chimaera for £8k, Tuscan for £16k, Cerb somewhere in between, whichever way you cut it they provide massive grins for the money. The performance, the noise, the driving experience. Brilliant.
