Just looking for some info and general opinions on Billingshurst. May be looking at a property there over the weekend.

Feedback welcome!

My Mum has lived there for quite a few years now and loves it. Very small village feel to it smile

Posh little town - ideal for folks who think Horsham
has gone just a bit too much 'council'.

Average house price in Billingshurst seems to be about 370K.
Horsham average is 290K, a lot less.

For the whole of West Sussex, the average is 250K, so
Billingshurst would appear to be even posher than a posh place.

It's the drugs centre of Sussex, mainly because there's very little Police presence - they're all miles away in Horsham. I've seen the 'other' side of Billingshurst and it's a little unpleasant. Everyone seems to know everyone elses' business; personally I don't like that but some people may.

Have to say, i do tend to agree with this.

I went to college in Horsham. Quite a few people came from 'billy' (their choice, not mine!) and I did get the impression there was quite alot of drugs going around. These weren't just your 1 or 2 joints either...

Some good roads though, it's just they're always full of the 40mph lot.
