HI
I`m looking for a car transporter/recovery truck for myself as I want to start going to track days.

I need advice where should i look for insurance. Are these in the same leage as vans just with different body or not ?

i think the most critcal thing would be , are you going to recover / transport other peoples cars?

are you going to this as a business?

if it is just for your use i would go to a broker that you can talk to rather than a website

Are you looking at up to 3.5 t gross or over, up to 7.5 t ?
Up to 3.5 e.g. transit can only legally carry about 1.4t (that includes driver/passenger/tools etc.) depending on how it is built,so small cars only.
Over 3.5t & it becomes a minefield owning & operating one legally.
Insurance for either is easy , commercial brokers.
