Help needed - £3k to spend on sensible car...
Discussion
We're thinking about moving house and need to find some cash for the deposit. I'm thinking of selling the Impreza and getting something cheap to run which is also practical. Key considerations:
£3k budget
Less than 80,000 miles
Diesel (edited to say "and high mpg"!!!!)
Estate
Reliable (i.e. not froggy)
I know you guys always come up trumps with some good finds. So far I've thought of diesel Vectra and Mondeo estates...
What can you find me???!

Really the only other thing that springs to mind is the Passat estate, great mpg and reliable (from what I know)
Other than that I think you'll need to think outside the box a bit, 4x4's, MPV's or Softroaders
ETA: What do you need mpg wise 30-40-50mpg?

The Ford is super strange, you surely don't LPG a car to then do just 44k in 9 years, that's less than 5k a year!! Seems odd to say the least.
I didn't notice the mileage... I guess it could be a family car or a less young persons car? Certainly worth a call to ask the question surely?Gassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
