Evening all...

Just wanted to say "Hi" and let you know there is a new Chimaera PH'er about. I live in Windsor and work in Egham (terrible commute, I know... whistle).

I've upgraded from a Mk5 Golf GTI to the Blackpool Burbler, and have a PH Smiley for the rear winging its way to me soon (Royal Mail permitting).

Hopefully see you on the road or at a meet soon driving

Cheers,

Neil.

Hi all - thanks for the warm welcome woohoo

No pics of the car as yet - will remedy that soon. Can't believe I haven't had her a week yet! However here is the link to where she was advertised so you can keep an eye (and an ear!) out...

I went to work on Monday with the top down which was fantastic, and the car has been really positively received thus far (a Disco 3 even let me out into traffic on Wednesday!). I've had a few of my neighbours peering out of the windows as I rev her into \ out of the garage (~8 point turn required), but they better get used to it evil I'm definitely glad I didn't get the sports exhaust (purely because otherwise trackdays would be a complete no-no) and power-steering is a must!

Heading over to France for the day next weekend which I'm really looking forward to. However I've noticed a LARGE amount of noise from the window on my side when > 60mph; guess it's a foible I'll just have to live with cool

Cheers,

Neil.

PS - Apart from the obviously plus-points, I've got the following observations on the Chimaera thus far - rear-view mirror is useless when the top is down, I can't get the off-side mirror in the right place (either see too much of my own car or it's too wide a view), the handbrake is nigh-on useless, and I have no idea what the green button in the middle of the internal door-release knob does (?) - plus it's really distracting at night. Any insight welcomed!

Yup the mirror is usless with the roof down, but you will soon get use to making the best of what little mirror you have.

Handbrake should be better than that, might need to be tightened.

Green light should indicate that the doors are locked press the green button again and it should unlock the doors and go out.
