Afternoon all,

Does anybody know where I might be able to find a decent map for Great Windsor Park online?

Reason being is that I've been tasked with the challenge of coming up with an easter egg / treasure hunt style game (for adults), and I reckon windsor park is probably the best place for this. Problem is that it's for saturday, and I'm not going to be able to get there until sat morning, and I barely know the place, so a map to give me a clue to start would be awesome.

Alternatively, if anyone could think of any other suitable locations that would be super.

Thanks,
Chris

I think you'll find the Great Park a bit 'barren' for this sort of thing, you'd be better off heading up to Savill Gardens in Englefield Green, plenty of places to hide 'stuff' plus there is a great pub at the entrance.

If you are looking to do the hunt on foot Swinley Forest near Bracknell is another good shout, google for it as there is loads of info online (can be a bit muddy). . . .

Trying looking for "Windsor Great Park" But there is only one main road through it unless you are totally on foot. It is also very open and sparse (the public bit)

Swinley Forest and The Look Out at the edge of Bracknell are close, and have a maze of trails and routes through, and a cafe at the end (opening times a bit variable)

If you're thinking of roughly that area what about Burnham Beeches? stunning roads and whilst a big area plenty of little carparks, pull ins for your easter eggs............

ETA I'm assuming you are in cars not on foot?

Break-ins of cars are common there, sadly. Do NOT leave anything on view or it'll go. Best to park in one of more populated carparks if you can. Remember, it is bordering Slough - nuff said?

Super stuff, thanks for the help guys!

Unfortunately I wasn't all that clear in my original post, but as some of you correctly guessed it was to be carried out on foot. The result was a complete success though! So thank thank you very much, PH really is an amazing place.

I've also realised that I've not been on a car-based treasure hunt for some time!

Cheers,
Chris

That comment has just made a friend and I fall about laughing............ (we attended the Convent in Langley albeit 24 years ago...)to us the whole point of Burnham Beeches was to find an empty car park
