Garage on A30 at Bagshot

I recall a discussion on here a while back about someone selling top end motors along the A30 near Bagshot.

Went past the car sales garage near the former Pantiles Night Club about 16:30hrs yesterday afternoon, quite a few Porsche on the forecourt.
Plus a posse of at least 6 Police officers looking about with clip boards, seem to be giving the place a once over.
Marked estate car parked outside.

Didn't BMW2002 give them a call and they said they were waiting for premises near Windsor?

Is that the old Jag place that then started selling motorised caravans?

Hmm i went past there yesterday too, and like you say there was loads of police and a forecourt full or cars.

Yep, thats the one. However it sold motor caravan for a long time then leased the front part of hteir business to Jaguar. Thye were there for a while and then moved, the motorcaravan moved back and then a few dyas ago a load of 'posh-ish; looking cars were there.

I think they've moved to there Kinky. If you look at the website the pictures look to be at that place, and the address details are also different. They look to have stopped advertising hypercars and gone down to 911s and Boxsters, with even a £6k TT there as well.

It's a funny setup.

They've been there for about 6-9 months. But registered near Ascot somewhere, looking for premises in Windsor; and keep most of his prestige vehicles abroad.

The guy who runs it is around here somewhere. He'd be able to help clarify

There's a Nash Konig sticker where Acme Caravans used to be and I walked past there tonight and there was a 58 plate M3, 2 Boxsters, a TT, a modern but non M3 3 series and a Cooper S there. It looked like there were swing gates at the back of the premises and beyond that is the rest of the property and maybe where the cars go at night? I just hope this is a massive success, when Pantiles became (officially) a home for OAPs I really thought Bagshot was on the slide, then I noticed an Impreza outside The Mogul (thanks Omgus) and things began to look up again and another silver GC8 that lives opposite the 'never seen a customer/front for something or other' Indian takeaway under the railway bridge in Bagshot, happy days, and, opposite the SureStart Centre there's an R8 (PHr??) almost next door to a new Impreza Sti (so someone did buy one), Bagshot, A mecca for interesting cars...

Owned by a very nice guy called Roy. You probably can't see him as he's only about four foot tall Worked elsewhere during the day so that he could afford to run that place during the evening. He's married, but his wife lives ooop north somewhere.
He's talked for years about changing that place to a proper sit down restaurant. Bet he was gutted when that new place opened up further up the road.
Had a few takeaways from there, but the quality could have been better. Service was too slow too. There was even a time when I had TWO customers in front of me - I was shocked!

That's interesting, I had one meal from there and thought it was very much standard british Indian takeaway blandness. They don't seem to do any promo, if he offered 'home cooked Indian' with free delivery and a £6 minimum order for those less than half a mile away his business would take off, or at least, I would buy from there

Heavens, why not offer to run a curry night at the 3M and split the profit with the pub, come on Roy let's get creative!

Roy's a nice bloke but the food is extremely oily. Princess Cottage is much better, if a little under-spiced.

Odd story. Last year Roy's takeaway changed its name so we thought we'd try it again. While in there waiting, Roy appeared.
Us: Hi Roy, we thought you'd sold up.
Roy: No my (son/nephew - can't remember) runs it now.
Us: So are you still involved?
Roy: No I don;t work here.
Us: So how come you're here now?
Roy: It's my day off.
Us: !

Well we laughed about it anyway.
