Basingstoke Traffic... WTF?

A week of roadworks on the A339(?) have started this morning... approx 50 feet of road has been closed resulting in about 20 extra minutes and a mile and a half extra on my jouney...

4 navvies leaning on their shovels chatting.. and that's about all...

Rant over...

(why can they not do this at night????)

FFS a week??? It took me 1hr 40 mins to get to Kingsclere from Frimley (26 miles and a 40 min run usually). A week of this would be utter chaos. 2 miles of queues in either direction on the M3 J6 today and half a mile at J7.

the traffic on the m3 around j6 was a 3 car pile up! so shoul dbe better tommorow!!
