Sorry I haven't been around for a while - busy running lots of miles for this little jog around London I am doing on the 25th April. God forbid but I have even given up on alcohol for the next three weeks until the race yikes

I could do with a bit of help raising money for the charity I am running for though. They are only a small charity - Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - and I have been running for them for a couple of years now. If any of you could help with sponsorship, even if it is only a couple of quid, I would be really grateful. I promise I will make broom broom noises as I run through Westferry Circus as a thank you.

My sponsorship link is here http://www.justgiving.com/Nancy-Williams

AND - in compensation, I am having a BBQ at my place on Saturday 29th May which you are invited to. I can promise there will be meat and beer and a pond for any small child to fall into. If I haven't already invited you on Facebook, apologies - see this post as my invite.

BBQ starts at 2.00. Pond will be open at 3.00

Just reposting this - it ended up in EMT which means I had invited the whole of Pistonheads to my BBQ! Now that would have been a disaster...

Thank you all! It's fine to sponsor after Sunday and at least you will know by then whether I am alive or just twitching in a heap somewhere along the Embankment.

The weather forecast is looking hot so I am starting to wonder whether i might melt into a big puddle before I cross the finish line...

Good plan! I do have one which I use for long training runs although it's not...er...designed for women as the chest strap is rather unfortunately placed.

Will see if I can find a more female friendly one at the Marathon Expo tomorrow...
