Doesn't seem cheap or expensive to me, quick search on Autotrader for MINI Cooper S of similar age and mileage shows cars for about £6k upwards, so i guess with the JCW bits it's worth a bit more huh?

Looks good and about the right'ish price...

Make sure you HPI it - some people hide the number-plate to stop it being cloned... but it also stops you being able to check the car prior to viewing. No mention of how many previous owners or that it's HPI clear?

Rich, have a really good look over this one. The steering wheel looks like a standard cooper one, rather than a Cooper S sports wheel. And has it got aircon? There is one button missing from the dash pod, from memory where the aircon button should be.

I had a 54 plate JCW S for 2 years, and it was loads of fun biggrin
The only downsides were the harsh ride from the JCW suspension on long motorway runs, pretty crap fuel economy (22-25mpg), and the fact the LSD and decent HP shredded expensive front tyres easily every 10k (Rears lasted about 35k). This one might not have either the susp or LSD, but worth checking.

Didn't know there was an LSD on offer! ohhhh, got me thinking now! Do you guys reckon 7k on a Cooper S is a good idea? needs to be a daily driver aswell and a bit of fun. It'll be a month or so before I buy one but making sure that they're solid enough cars and im not buying too cheap.

I hate people doing that. They do it all the time and I never understand why, its not like its a big secret, the car is seen by hundreds if not thousands of people every day. To me it looks dodgy in an advert. As you say, are they deliberately stopping you HPI'ing it?

It's not a Jcw . but the price seems about right . You can tell by the exhaust

all it has is Jcw carbon dash and rear seats . meening the fronts have been swapped .

Thanks, the more i look into it ill probably get a standard cooper s with a lot of options and look into playing with it as the premium for a JCW doesn't seem worthwhile currently vs putting bits on myself. just have to hope next week goes as planned then ill be shopping!
