Where can I buy a stick on number plate locally?

Anyone know? Need a new front plate for my Elise as the bodyshop could not supply a new one (or they forgot 
). I could order one online but if I could go somewhere tomorrow that would be usefull.

Anybody that supplies number plates should be registered to do so.meaning they should only supply "legal" number plates.
Some places can sell "show plates" or "signs" by declaring them as "not for road use"
The internet companies get away with it by registering the company in Ireland or similar.
CAF also only do the "legal" ones

Although you could try sandhurst autoprint on the corner of swan lane & Vulcan Way. they do make number plates and signs amongst other things, but i think it will only be the "legal" type !!

John, not seen or heard of a 'stick-on' plate before but Halfrauds sell double sided sticky in two thicknesses specifically for this purpose.
Wrt the plate itself, have used these guys and they turn around orders quickly. Lots of different designs that you can view on their website before you order.

If you do go to Blackbushe, make sure you take some proof of ownership of the vehicle. They might be happy to make you 'show plates' but they will still ask you for proof of ownership whereas the people above do not.

RE Halfords double sided sticky tape I don't think that is the solution as I assume this is for use with a conventional rigid plastic plate. What I'm looking for is a number plate which is actually a sticker. This is what was on the car before and is much tidier, not to mention less prone to damage, than a normal plate mounted on the front of an Elise. Yes I know technically this is a 'show' plate and therefore in a slight legal grey area
But the previous owner had no problem in 2yrs and 40k miles so don't see why I will.Hell I even managed to inadvertantly hold up an unmarked Vectra on the M4 this morning and got away with out a reprimand for having no front plate at all. Dropped a real clanger here!
Reason I was on the M4 was I was going back to Steve Williams to have my spare pair of OE door mirrors fitted as I managed to snap off one of the aftermarket ones whilst 'adjusting' it last night. So I had no drivers mirror and the passenger side was not alligned correctly either (as it seemed to have gone a bit floppy since the car was repaired). I'm merrily driving along at 50 in a 50 zone when I notice a Vectra fairly close behind but thought nothing of it. After a little while I begin to hear a siren but it seems fairly quiet and far away (its quite loud in an Elise remember). Look in my rear view mirror but can't see anything. Trouble is in my car the headlights of following cars are ofter obscured by the rear wing unless they are quite far back - so I could'nt see the flashing blue headlights!!! So I continued cruising in front for rather longer than I should have before it twigged that siren sound might be coming from a car behind me. Only when I pulled into lane 2 did I see POLICE lit up in the rear window!!
They must have thought I was a complete numpty.

Hello again John I've gone one better since then, i've not run one on the black elise since I picked it up - its behind my drivers seat. Standard plate with velcro on and some velcro stuck on the front clam....they just look so much better without a plate
