Well, my car is dead. Completely. Basically the engine is unrepairable - big ends, crank and rods all stuffed.

I am now on the hunt for a reasonably decent second hand S2000 engine if anyone has any suggestions.

That will clear me out for the year - so I'll be back out drinking in about 2011 when I can afford it again I think.

Guess it is one of the hazards of owning a car. I was sort of expecting the news to be bad, but still doesn't make it any easier when it comes.

frown bugger, guess trying to find a written off low mileage car is maybe a good route and I imagine there are a fair few around after the winter. Good luck!

No, completely different engine from a different series. K20a in the Civic, not sure what is in the S2000 without googling but it's something different...

Different engine jake, k20a/k20a2 that's in the teg/civic is transverse, the f20c in the s2k is longditudinal.

If you use TGM get him to baffle the sump he does it to all his race cars and is way cheaper than buying a branded one.

Good luck!
