Power Steering High Pressure Line - broken!

Hi all

The power steering hose between pump and rack on my 944 Turbo has failed somewhere inside its shielding and is pissing fluid out. I can get one from the dealership for £196 all in - however is there another way? Can I have such a pipe made up for less?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Probably. I don't know the 944 at all but I read that there are of the shelf parts at Pirtek to renew piping and connections for oil cooler on a Range Rover ...

or any other hydraulic hose repair shop
They will replace the rubber hose with new reuseing the connectors off your old one. Should only cost about £30.

I had all mine remade using existing connectors for my audi s2 a few years ago by Pirtek in Reading. Was about £140inc.
