Does anybody know of a place to get decent boxes at a decent price for moving house with?

All the places like SafeStore etc charge an arm and a leg for bits of cardboard!

How many you need chap we get through loads of managable sized strong cardboard boxes a week.

Can put some aside for you if you want.

Ohhhh, cheers smile

Hopefully on Friday I'll have a car big enough to put a box in. Would I be able to pick up stuff this weekend? Friday PM onwards, I'll take whatever you have if that's ok?

It's a bit far to be honest, but thanks for the offer.

Go to your local convenience store and ask, they should usually have a load of flattened boxes

Are you anywhere near a Ready Steady Store? There is one in Wokingham and in Southampton in the south. I moved house in February and filled out a no obligation quote for storage on the website - you then receive a free £15 packaging voucher via email which I bought 6 good sized boxes with. No cost at all other than the petrol to get there and back!

I should be able to. Xlifts has already offered some on Thursday. So if we still need them after that I'll let you know if that's ok?

Those "Lock and Store" type places always advertise that they sell boxes for house moves etc.

Might be worth a try?

That's where the OH got some from already, £40 something for a few boxes and a bit of tape...

Just had a message from the OH who said her car is now stuffed with boxes beer No all I need to do is convince her to put stuff in them...
