Mandolay Hotel, Guildford
Discussion
Going to a mate's do in the area tonight and did not fancy having to leave early for the last train home. Hotels seemed limited but I booked a room at the Mandolay.
Just been looking at Trip Advisor and almost all the reviews rate it as a damp bed bug ridden s
thole with rude staff.
Mysteriously you get the odd 5 stars from people saying it's the best place they have ever stayed in.
Did they stay in the same place?
Ah well, I'll find in a a few hours, gulp!
How do I stand about witholding payment, made by credit card yesterday, if I am not happy?
Cheers.

It was fine. Room tiny about 2m x 2m with a tiny shower/toilet tacked on and some b
d had a telly blaring away all night but it was clean.
Original price of room was supposedly £140 but there would have been no way that I would have paid that. Got it for £49 on late rooms and it was not worth a penny more.
They wanted a tenner for brekky so went to McDs instead.
Not sure about these Trip Advisor reviews. I suspect that all the bad ones are from rival hotels.
