resurfaced 4494 - stone chip hell
Discussion
Was making reasonable progress at the head of a small convoy from Wantage last Saturday, and cruised up to the rear of a pootling 5-series. As I sized up for an overtake, he proceeded to put his foot down and drive enthusiastically. After a few attempts of me backing off to let him get away, and he lifting off so I caught up straightaway, I was getting tired of being rained on by stones from the resurfacing.
Had a look at the car yesterday, and the front end looks like it's been shot-blast.
Anyone having a play on the 4494 this weekend, make sure you leave plenty room to the car in front, or make sure you pass it quickly

Yeah i got a lovely stone chip on my screen from a stone flicked up by my mates bike last weekend.
Also has anyone ever seen a guy parked up at the side of the road taking pictures of cars/bikes as they drive past? I think it was a Saab that he was driving. I have seen him twice on the open hilly section nearer Wantage.
