Soapy Roads

In the Farnborough area. Anyone else noticed?

Rain after a long dry spell, hence slippy? Or are there suds?

I noticed a few puddles with "foam" on them where cars had been driving through them. I've never seen that before!

Suds, thought it was just from cars going through them but then saw soapy puddles on empty bits of road. Strange.

I've seen them before - can't tell you how or where though!

I always thought it was crap from horse chestnut trees mainly - perhaps others as well.
Loads of it this morning on Thornhill Road in Aldershot going through the army camp.

Skillfully managed to avoid it as I was on total slicks on the roadie - and then damn near came a cropper on a load of diesel that some eejit had spilt!!

Pangbourne was the same yesterday morning and said area has lots of horse chestnut trees so I reckon you're right

No horse chestnut trees where I saw the foam. In fact no trees at all! Just a farm entrance 100M or so away and a lot of small bushes, grass & ferns...

No, cant be that. I have found that women drivers are far better at doing this. Especially at roundabouts.
