Local MOT?

Hi folks,

Can anyone local to Addlestone/Byfleet/Woking recommend a decent place for an MOT? Preferably one who charges less than the full VOSA price

Need to get the MX5 done and would rather take it somewhere where the staff have a bit of sense and look after your car, versus some generic place like Kwik Fit!

Have used Camberley MOT centre.
Pretty fair and good service.

I put 2 cars through HiQ in Guildford recently, as they were doing it for 35 quid. Passed one, failed another, but that was for genuine issues.

The tester did give advisories for tires on one car, 3mm on one front, 2mm rears, but they are in the tyre game, so I guess they thought I would get business off me, thinking I would be worried that they flagged it and buy replacements.

I can also recommend Careys. They MOT my OH bike and look after/service/MOT my Rangie. Have used them for quite a few years. Very good, old school mechanics!
