We're organising a 350 mile Epic Hoon across some of the country's best roads one Sunday in August, with stops for both breakfast and lunch (and maybe dinner depending on progress) at some scenic venues. Ken Hoonas will publish details on FB and if you've not linked to him just ping a friend request across. Although the route is sorted any help with walkie talkies and suitable eatery locations, even drive-by photography along the route is most welcomed.

Thanks Don, of the many options I'm assuming it the radio one which will be great smile

I'm not sure if everyone needs a similar type of radio..?

PMR is a three-letter acronym that can stand for:

* Palmerston North International Airport
* Partidul Muncitoresc Român (Romanian Workers' Party), the ruling party in communist Romania from 1948 to 1965
* Penilaian Menengah Rendah, a public school examination in Malaysia
* Perpendicular Magnetic Recording, a technology for data recording on hard disk
* Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Polymyalgia rheumatica, inflammatory condition of the muscles.
* Port Militarization Resistance, an activist movement geared towards port military shipments
* "Power, Money, Respect:" The creed of Tony Montana, the protagonist of the 1983 movie Scarface, who was portrayed by Al Pacino.
* Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
* Private Mobile Radio VHF & UHF radio networks used by operators such as taxis, utilities and emergency services in the UK
* Profound mental retardation, a developmental disability
* Progressive Muscle Relaxation, an anxiety reduction technique
* PMR446, a license-free public walkie-talkie protocol in the European Union
* Professional Mobile Radio, field radio communications systems
* Proton Magnetic Resonance ( 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)
* Proto Matrix Rail, a paintball marker produced by DYE Precision
* Pimp My Ride, a television show on the MTV Network

Might be a good excuse to set up my camera and have a play... Let us know how the route is progressing.

It's 100% finished if you want me to send it across I can email it or if you're on FB there's an image of the route against a Ken Hoonas status update from yesterday I think

I'm tempted and have added Mr Hoonas as a friend smile However, it's dependent on 2 things 1) Having a car worthy of such a run and 2) Being in the country, which currently looks promising!
