Anything to do in Bray?

We're off to the Hinds Head for lunch this weekend, not quite the Fat Duck, buut sounds nice all the same. Is there anything to do round there? I see it's by the river, are there any river walks, parks for the kiddies etc?

You can walk along the river to Windsor/Eton (passing the Olympic rowing venue), if you have the time and inclination. Or walk towards Maidenhead in the other direction along the river and gawp at the posh houses on the other bank

Apart from that.......it's a pretty small place. 2 posh pubs and a restaurant in the High St, all owned by Heston, and the Waterside round the corner. The only shop closed years ago, unless you want to buy a swimming pool.

Horseguards Park is nice, a short drive from Bray, with a walk along the river, or failing that Boulters Lock is good.

Not too much in Bray, as the river walk is on the other side, so bring your swimming gear.

Thanks all, pretty much what I had suspected, not much to do there apart from eat and drink (which is not a bad thing).

Guess we'll head into Windsor after, can send the ladies and kiddy into the shops and the lads can sup some beers in the two brewers

There is a newish footbridge near Monkey island.
