Garage door fitter required sharpish!
Discussion
So tonight was going quite well, productive weekend and all that, until the garage door broke for no good reason and in forcing it shut we seem to have done some terminal damage to the bloody thing.
Does anybody know of a place to get a door (ideally by Thursday) and fitted for a decent price. It looks like I'm going to have to look down the back of the sofa for that thousand pounds that fell out the back my pocket when all is said and done

you need to resecure it to the wall ant hen fins a way to prop it about half way open.
Find a spanner that fits the squair on the shaft and make sure that the cables are both tight and wrapped the right way around the shaft at the top.
Its a bit fiddley but you might have to use a spanner to turn the shaft in order to get the cables right.
Both mine have done it now.

Excellent guy, highly knowledgeable and reliable - tell him Jeev sent you his way.
I've used Nick Goldring @ Amourelle for many garage door jobs over the years, as have many of my friends.
He's a nice guy who does great work for very reasonable rates.
Tell him i sent you his way and he'll look after you.

Bingo! He's sending his son round on Thursday to fix it and it sounds like it's going to be a good rate too. Cheers Pete! He's a nice guy who does great work for very reasonable rates.

My garage door needs fixing (a spring has broke). Looks like I know who I'll be calling on Tuesday
Hi I guess I missed this post, I can recommend Armourelle as a friend of mine knows them. Also www.myersgaragedoors.co.uk cover your area and they are good and cheap! Good luck.Gassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
