Looking at going again and possibly going to get back into it as a hobby since i've given up on Go-karting. What are my options of places to go in the Guildford area? Only ever been to chobham and Lasham before. Enjoyed it massively!
As its one of those hobbies that you sort of loose interest in, anyone got any kit they fancy getting rid of? Dont fancy buying those guns that are painted silly colours!!!

Not to hijack, but my son, who's 9, would probably love go-carting. Where's good in the Guildford area?As its one of those hobbies that you sort of loose interest in, anyone got any kit they fancy getting rid of? Dont fancy buying those guns that are painted silly colours!!!

no problem. Depends what your after really?
outdoor, Blackbushe airport do it, but you need your own kart. Indoor your best bet is probably camberley which is actually nearer Junc 4 of the M4.
Best outdoor place, and where i used to go, is Buckmore park in maidstone. Expensive though at £50 a time for 30mins on track.

Theres an old WW2 bunker in epsom, been there a couple of times, run down but great fun. http://www.eliteactiongames.com/epsom/index.html. They have got a wooded site somewhere nearby too, may be chobham area.

EAG Epsom is good fun, if you dont mind being stuck in the dark. Can freak some people out. Take at least 2 torches.S3_Graham said:

You need a valid defence under the VCRA to purchase a RIF As its one of those hobbies that you sort of loose interest in, anyone got any kit they fancy getting rid of? Dont fancy buying those guns that are painted silly colours!!!

Google VCRA or UKARA for full info on getting registered

Elite Action Games have 2 woodland sites - Worthing and DorkingThey run on alternate Sundays. Its Worthing this weekend, and Dorking next weekend

I've been to the Worthing site a fair few times and Epsom a couple of times. Epsom tunnels are good fun but become a bit of a hose fest with full auto P90's MP5's and MP7's. I've played a pistol and shotgun only game at Epsom which was excellent.
There is also Ford Airsoft at Ford Ranges, I think it runs on Monday nights and Saturday's. Apparently they are holding a big WW2 airsoft game at Ford during September.
Airsoft:

(has 2 sites, one in woodland and one in an abandoned military style bunker/building with proper skirmishes, pretty cool)
Karting:

Really fun, large outdoor track! I had a lot of fun here.

as far as i was aware your fine buying second hand, if buying new you just had to have %50+ painted silly colours. tbh, im not going to buy unless i get hooked anyway and if im hooked ill meet the 3 times in 2 months criteria.
Nope, Pagey is correct. If buying second hand the seller is obliged to check you have a valid defence under the VCRA, such as a club membership, if they don't then you are both commiting an offense. But that's not to say it doesn't happen... yes the 50% brightly coloured is the alternative if you do not have a defence, this applies to both new and used. You can join most UKARA registered clubs after playing something like 3 times in less than 3 months, and then you'll be able to buy new or used (ArniesAirsoft has a great classifieds section). Decided we are going to try Ambush War Games @ Eversley on the 26th if anyone else is game? £45 all in with AEG hire/lunch etc.
