I've only been in a mk1 but I would presume these have still retained most of their magic?
Is there a big tuning scene for the later ones similar to the mk1? I remember being overtaken at Brands by one which had been hiding a truck size turbo under the otherwise standard exterior. Cheeky git.

I haven't driven any of the older mx5's but they're only about 30kg heavier than the old cars apparently. I love it, and once the geometry is setup properly they're great fun & driving around south Wales was such a giggle.
