Recommend a workshop with a hydraulic press; Reading, Woking
Discussion
I need someone who can press the propshaft yokes and support bearings off the viscous coupling from the Freelander.
Either Reading area (home) or Woking area (work).
After 7 years the splines appear to be nicely rusted so nothing's moving. I've tried penetrating oil, heat, and a FBH but no joy.
Only upside of taking the prop apart to replace the bearings is that I've found the UJ's are starting to break up - joy at the extra expense! I shouldn't be too harsh though as they've done 120,000 miles.
So, any recommended workshops appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Possibly a bit too far for you but if you are stuck, these will definately be able to do it.
They had to use a rediculous amount of pressure on a Citroen Relay wheel bearing for me. Everyone else couldnt move it!! http://www.blaker.co.uk/
